INJ-161 Labscope III - Current Ramping Diagnostics

Over the last several years, the use of Digital Storage Oscilloscopes (DSO’s) for automotive electrical diagnostics has become the tool of choice. With the introduction of serial data, networks, encoded signals and stringent sensor signal criteria that must be met, the DVOM and the test light have slowly been filtered out of electrical diagnostics due to their lack of speed and effectiveness. The major automotive manufacturers have now realized the importance of current ramping testing and some have now included this type of test diagnostics in their flow charts.

The purpose of this course is to make technicians aware of the importance of current ramping. Upon completion of this course, you should have a thorough understanding of current flow, low amp probes and the uses of current ramping in automotive applications. Learn how to test for a faulty fuel pump that is about to quit.
