We will cover a brief history of the Cummins Engine and proceed to the Cummins 12 valve and then the 24 valve Engines. The course will feature Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Operations & Diagnostics, along with Tech Tips with common problems.

Chrysler produces a number of vehicles that meet the SUV demands of the public. The Grand Cherokee and Liberty have been well received and have captured a notable percentage of the SUV market.

The Chrysler built Grand Cherokee and Liberty share many electrical and diagnostic features found in other Chryslers. The PCI bus, ignition systems for the 2.4, 3.7, and 4.7 engines as well as Mode 6 Diagnostics are examples of material covered in class that is applicable to more that just Jeeps. We will also teach features like the fuel delivery on a Liberty, which is unlike what you would see on Chrysler vehicles. One highlight of the course is learning how to diagnose PCI bus problems without the special factory tools.

Sport utilities vehicles continue to be the vehicle of choice for many consumers. Chrysler/Jeep produces a number of models to meet the SUV demand. Both for Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Liberty have captured a notable percentage of the SUV market.

The course will highlight the engine, injection and electrical features of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Jeep Liberty. Some features are unique to Jeep while others are found in similar Chrysler vehicles. Both the electrical and injection feature that are unique to Jeep and those used in other Chrysler vehicles will be covered in class.

This course will cover primarily 1999 and newer Grand Cherokees as well as 2002 and newer Jeep Libertys. Some references will be made to older systems and some references will be made to the very new electrical changes.
