We will analyze the move from the TIPM over to the BCM gateway system and the related changes in diagnostics. Diagnostics will include short cut Diagnostics, Voltmeters, Labscope, Scan Tool and Parasitic Draw. We will also introduce the new features of the New CAN C BUSS with Star Connectors and how to take full diagnostic advantage. (C-Evo, Dodge Dart, Jeep Cherokee, ‘14 up Chrysler 200, Pacifica, 2019 V6) Chrysler introduced the 4-cylinder Multi-Air engine system into the Dodge Dart name in 2012 as a 2013 model.  In this class we will look at the features of the Multi-Air system. We will describe how the Multi-air system operates, repairs and diagnostic tips. In the Multi-air system, the camshaft lobe does not contact the intake valve. It operates completely with PCM controlled and high oil pressure giving the PCM full control over lift and duration. Very detailed repair procedures highlighted in the class.
